It's all about money. More and more people are wising up to the poisons in foods. So instead of making their foods better for people manufacturers want to change the rules so they can be in the same categorization. At the same time, the 'USDA Organic' branding becomes worthless, and thus the uninformed (the vast majority) blindly buy the stuff thinking they're getting something better for them.
Another thing is that it seems to me that if companies don't have to put a ton of chems in foods then the foods should cost less, but so-called 'organic' food costs more! What the hell? It makes no sense whatsoever.
Capitalism is a disease. Highly contagious, thanks to a ponerized society.
